ET3 is faster than jets yet can accomplish 50 times more transportation per kWh than electric cars or trains at 1/10th the cost. ET3's vision is where car sized capsules accelerated by electric power coast on maglev in an automated global tube network without air friction. 350mph ET3 costs less than roads and can achieve up to 4000mph with proven technology.
ET3 is free of human error and silent. Sound does not travel in a vacuum. The capsules are routed like internet traffic and networked like freeways. Birds, other animals, cars, pedestrians, bad weather, can't hit the capsules making ET3 amazingly safe. ET3 is so profitable, with a 90% profit margin compared to an equally priced plane ticket, this whole system can be built without taxpayer money.
ET3 is currently seeking a location to build the first full scale 375mph 3 mile demo of ET3 ($10M) which would then be extended, after vigorous testing, for commercial use. It all comes down to a working demo that people can sit and ride in, then the doors will fly open for widespread adoption. The correct location and an agreement with permission from the State of California, or LA, is all that is needed to build this important technology here first. The millions already spent on planning for HSR will not go to waste and can be used for ET3.
Connect a local area PRT systems like JPods to ET3 stations that are placed throughout the city and LA's traffic problem would be a thing of the past.
My suggestion is for Austin Beutner to campaign on fast tracking and testing this technology and getting the 3 mile 375mph ET3 Demo built. Permission and the right to use an abandoned rail road track would be all that is needed to attract private investment to build it.
Just as the return to free markets of communication infrastructure in 1984 resulted in vast innovation with better service at lower costs and millions of jobs, the same can happen with modern transportation networks.
